Kingston Unity Annual General Meeting 2020
Please note that the deadline for delegate registrations has now passed.
Join us at our Society’s 180th Annual General Meeting (AGM) as a Delegate
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this year’s AGM will be held via Zoom videoconference on Saturday, 26 September 2020. Learn about what you’ll need by reviewing our AGM checklist here.
Please note that the deadline for Delegate Registrations has now passed.
Whilst a videoconference is not our preferred option, it is important for us to meet our regulatory obligations to hold a meeting within a certain time after our year-end and to do so in a way that helps protect our Members and employees from unnecessary risk of transmission of COVID-19.
Please do not let technical challenges put you off applying to attend; we will offer as much support as we can to enable you to do so. Further information, including joining instructions and full timings, will be supplied to Delegates by Friday, 28 August 2020.

How to attend our AGM videoconference using Zoom
Many of you will be familiar with the video calling tool Zoom as a means to keep in touch with family and friends throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll be using the same tool to host this year’s AGM. To help our Members with any technical questions for this, we have put together a guide to Zoom, which you can download below.
Here are some quick points to think about:
- Each delegate will need their own device to vote in the AGM. Two Delegates will not be able to share one device.
- Please test your equipment before the day of the AGM. If you find you are having technical issues, please contact us.
- When you register to be a Delegate for our AGM, you will have the option to register to be a Delegate for our upcoming SGM. While we strongly encourage you to attend both, you can choose to attend just one.
- If you are unable to organise the technical requirements for the videoconference, please get in touch and we do our best to help you where we can.
