Our Professional Expectations
When applying to be an IAR with Kingston Unity, we ensure that you meet our professional expectations. It is the combined mission of both Kingston Unity and you as an IAR to always provide exceptional service to clients/customers with our partnership designed to support both bodies. These expectations are here to ensure that the interests of the customer/client are always put first.
- An IAR must always maintain an ‘arms-length’ relationship with the customer/client in regards to introducing a Kingston Unity product. While factual information can be provided, ultimately, the decision to invest must come from the prospective Member.
- An IAR cannot be directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in their own right.
- IARs cannot influence the application process of a customer/client. This includes helping with applications or assisting in any administration during the application process.
- The relationship between you as an IAR and Kingston Unity is important. We would expect you to maintain appropriate levels of communication with us throughout your time as an IAR. This includes responding to any communications that we send you such as updates to legislation.
