David Hawkes has almost 27 years experience as secretary. He has also been a district officer, a board member and chairman of the society. Our treasurer is Margaret Hawkes, who also has almost 27 years experience, and who has also been a district officer. As well as her duties as treasurer, Margaret also organises branch functions such as the yearly visit to the pantomime, an annual charity buffet disco and an annual dinner dance for what is now called the Hull District Social Committee. The branch serves the Hull area but has members in many other parts of the country including South Humberside, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Devon.
Total membership is almost 240 people. Royal Albert Branch's aim is to provide sickness benefits and life cover with a long term savings and investment element. The Branch also organises events which raise money for charity, mainly the "Daisy Appeal".
