David Hawkes

David was elected to the Board in 2007. He is a member of the Marketing Sub Committee.
David was born in January 1947. He is married to Margaret and they have two grown up children and 4 grandchildren. He retired from business in June 2007 after almost 20 years as a ceramic wall/floor tiling contractor.
David, a member of the Society for 27 years, became Secretary of Royal Albert Lodge in 1983 and has served continually since then. He was for many years a Humberside District Officer and is now a member of the Hull Social Committee. David was previously a Board Member from 1988 to 2000 during which time he became a Trustee and served two years as Chairman before retiring after serving the maximum permissible term permitted by the rules.
Since retirement from the Board in 2000 David served as a non-board member on a Products Sub Committee. In 2002 he was appointed an Independent Trustee of the Society serving until 2007 when he successfully stood again for election to the Board.
David's hobbies include filming and editing home and holiday videos, weekends away at his caravan, cooking especially barbeques in Summer and he spends lots of time being Secretary of the Royal Albert lodge
